Fandom Snowflake Challenge 2024; Challenge #2

For the 2nd Challenge we we're tasked with setting up goals for ourselves, fannish or not. So here's mine:

- Read more "Magi - The Labyrinth of Magic" (mostly for my discord buddy)
- Play trough the Pokémon Sword DLC & Pokémon Violet DLC
- Document my new playtrough of the Pokémon Sword + the DLC
- Finish the Pokémon B&W Let's Play & Platinum Let's Play by Chuggaaconroy
- Listen to more new music (& by new I mean new to me)
- Post more mixtapes
- Write more; can't get better if I don't do it more of it
- Do more media analysis; can't get better if I don't do it more of it
- Code a Tumblr Theme for myself // Learn more HTML
- Mess around more with my drawn art
- Listen to "The Magnus Archives"
- Get a haircut

Kinda wish I had documented my playthroughs back in the day I played video games, as that sounds like a pretty fun idea! Revisiting the game later on and remembering what it was like the first time around...

I'll second the goal for doing more media analysis! It's so good to keep on stretching those critical thinking muscles that it's surprising we don't all do more of it. I do wish I did!

Good luck with your goals and may you find much good music! :)

Back in ye old days, I had friends who would call me every other day to ask how I had done this or that in Pokémon Sapphire for some reason. Their interest was less in the story, though, and I think they just wanted to Not Fail At The Game (?). But you do well to keep track of story, that's one thing that can sometimes slip us by in games, I feel.

I tend to do a lot of my analysis on physical notebooks, so it's not visible to most people. Then again, it doesn't demand as much supplementary research as when I do decide to post this stuff online, so there's that, too: the amount of effort involved to make sure others don't think we're just saying things for the sake of saying them!

Ahh, music... How about... Les Discrets (try L'échappée), True Widow (maybe Bleeder), Summoning (Flammifer, perhaps), Amenra (Het Gloren)? Or Pvris (Nightmare), Florence + the Machine (Hiding), Siouxsie and the Banshees (gonna say Fireworks instead of any of their most known songs, just because)... And Gabriel Fauré's Pavane, for some classics. I could be here all day with this so I'll just stop there and hope you find anything that pleases you as much as it pleases me in that little selection :)
