Aubrey looked at her hair, the bright pink color looked so unfamiliar on her head. It was almost as if she was looking at another person. Like somebody else should be here for it to have happened. Yet… it felt right. Aubrey put some of her hair out of her face. Bangs needing a cut, along with her hair’s wilting tips.
Mari may no longer be here to get her hair dyed; but Aubrey was. And while THEY wouldn’t remember Mari; she would.
She wouldn’t break the promise left in Mari’s wake.
The bathroom sink was a mess now, but at this point, what wasn’t?
