So, I’ve personally missed the “make gijinkas & make shit up” phase of FNAF fandom. But since cringe-culture should die I will make up for lost time & just have fun :3
I’m doing a bingo to further this, so I’ll go with the prompt “flipside” from my card.
In FNAF World, to my understanding, the Flipside is just a way of traveling where you can get stuck in the 4rth layer (unless you drown yourself). But this au isn’t going to be FNAF world & the sophant-ness of the bots should come from somewhere semi-magical seeing as the first 2 get created in the 70s. I’ve already decided that how Henry & William figure this out is basically visions from god, but should it even be a human god?
So here’s me throwing spaghetti to the wall & seeing what sticks;
- The god of the Flipside is called Anima. It’s barely sapient itself (more crow than human level sapience). The souls of the AnimaDriods come from this god. They consider Anima to be their creator as much as they see Henry & William as their creator in the same way Christains consider God to be their creator.
- The Flipside itself is kind of a dream-world; the further you go into the Flipside the more your subconsious trapps you in the Flipside. The first layer of the Flipside is a collective dream created by all the AnimaDriods. Humans can get stuck in the Flipside if a AnimaDriod brings them there, but another being can also release them from it more easy then they can an actual AnimaDriod. Also Anima's body is the Flipside.
- Anima can communicate with it's chosen humans. But despite being able to communicate instructions, getting any other information out of it like pulling your own teeth. Also it communicating with AnimaDriods is more like talking with god in dreams; happens infrequantly but is an essoteric emotional rollercoster.
- AnimaDriods can pray for powers from Anima. But it's usually done by sacrificing a part of their soul back to Anima + they must be emotional to a overwheming degree (usually some form of hopelessness). Having them give up a part of their soul back to Anima makes is easier for that AnimaDriod to get into & get stuck in the deeper parts of the Flipside.
- To even get into the Flipside you have to rip a hole in time & space (something that will be healed by Anima, but leave a weak spot for a long time, often years, maybe a decade). AnimaDriods can do it easier then humans, but even they still need to find the Celest Floret or its seeds (a supernatural flower that grows in our world but starts in the Flipside). They need to grow the florets if they find seeds by direct moonlight & eletricity. Once you have it you must break a mirror with a fist with the floret in it. That way you get the KnifeKey, which will make the rip in time & space.
