The quiet spring evening had the sky filled with drizzle. Emiko was visiting Asgore’s house as she usually did on Wednesdays. She had taken Sunny with her, wanting him to bond a little with Asgore’s kids (sure he was 5 years older, but she figured their interests could align).
Turns out she didn’t need to worry about anything. Since Chara had seemingly remembered Sunny from last time and very quickly ‘kidnapped’ him. They were drawing together on the dining table while she was sitting on the couch with Asgore drinking coffee. Emiko wished she could invite Asgore to her apartment, but it wasn’t built with large monsters in mind.
They had been chatting about work when a thought had popped into her head.
¨Asgore, can I ask you a question?¨
Asgore put his cup on the table, having finished it, before saying ¨What is it?¨
¨Do people compare you to a goat a lot? Cause you kind of remind me of a lion.¨
Asgore seemed surprised but not offended (thankfully). ¨It is mostly my kids and neighbors who call bossmonsters goatlike. But I haven’t heard lion before, why?¨
Emiko chuckled before setting down her own cup. ¨Well, first of all, your hair and beard is very manelike to me. Second you have a muzzle with fangs, which don’t seem very goatlike to me. I mean, I guess I think people mostly say goatlike cause of the horns.¨
Asgore put his hand on his chest, giving a small laugh. ¨I guess so, I don’t kind either way, most monsters look like one thing without fully being that thing.¨
¨True¨ Emiko chuckled ¨I’m sure little kids love you for it.¨
